We are excited to be able to offer 2 NEW Band 6 Full time Infection, Prevention and Control Nurse posts to work as members of the Infection Prevention and Control Team , at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

These roles will provide an opportunity for someone interested in infection control to join a well established team and learn and develop skills to become specialist nurses. The roles will help maintain the highest possible standards of infection prevention and control practice to reduce the risk of healthcare associated infection, particularly in regard to the safety of patients and employees within the Trust.

The new posts will support the Senior Infection Control practitioners and will develop expertise and knowledge to manage the prevention, monitoring, investigation, and control of infection within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

These posts will contribute to key programmes of work to achieve a high level of compliance with national guidance for infection prevention and control.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
