Apprentice Window Film Installer / Customer Service Advisor

We are looking for a practical young person to join our installation team within the flat glass side of the business. The ideal candidate will be well presented, reliable and a good time keeper. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, patience and a commitment to learning the trade over a 2yr apprenticeship with a view to remaining on staff thereafter. Driving Licence an advantage but not a necessity. 

Working Week: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Possible Start Date: August 2021

Apprenticeship Description

This apprenticeship will have some customer service elements and you will also be trained to fit flat glass window films. We typically install these films in homes, offices, conservatories, and cars. This is a unique apprenticeship for those looking for something a little bit different.

Some of the key tasks include but are not limited to:

  1. Agree goals and deadlines with your Line Manager.
  2. Provide a personalised service experience.
  3. Communicate in a timely manner.
  4. Learn about the different types of films and in which setting they should be used.
  5. Learn how to fit and install solar films, films for safety and security and so on.
  6. Install window films and understand the customer’s needs for why they are choosing certain tinting.
  7. Communicate information to customers in a timely manner.
  8. Greet customers when they are visiting.

Answer telephone when colleagues are otherwise engaged.  Take messages and pass details to relevant member of staff

  • Have the desire to provide support to the rest of the team to get the job done and be ready to get ‘stuck in’.

There are no essential qualifications for this apprenticeship, instead we are looking for an apprentice with a ‘can do’ attitude. There will however be an initial assessment in maths and English before you start the apprenticeship to check your current working level.

Although this is a Customer Service Apprenticeship, please keep in mind as part of facilitating the customer’s needs your day-to-day job role will be based on installing films.
