An opportunity has arisen to join the Human Resources Department to manage the delivery of the University’s Employee Relations strategy, policies and processes. You will lead a team in the provision of a comprehensive employee relations service that meets the requirements of the University. You will be responsible for assessing those requirements and managing and developing the day-to-day provision of employee relations advice and guidance across the university whilst facilitating good people management and ensuring consistency and professionalism.

Who you are:

o             You will have experience in an employee relations role within a large organisation

o             You will have the proven ability to assess the needs of the university and develop a forward-thinking ER provision that meets those requirements

o             You will have excellent people management skills and experience

o             You will have the ability to lead and resource the delivery of the University’s ER caseload together with a strong understanding of employment law

o             You will have experience of working effectively with trade unions

o             You will be a good communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence colleagues at all levels

o             You will be able to provide clear and concise advice

o             You will be calm and analytical with the ability to take a step back to see things strategically and solve problems effectively

o             You will have an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

o             You will have a CIPD level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
