We are looking for a diligent, enthusiastic and IT literate individual to assist with the administration of our new company website as well as supporting the management of our product database and marketing of the company

Gardner & Scardifield is a local family owned Builders Merchants, Electrical Wholesalers and DIY Suppliers based in Lancing, but operating throughout Sussex. We have a long and fascinating history of circa 100 years, and have been under current ownership since the 1970’s.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with any task required for the continual upkeep and development of the company’s website. This will include updating content, fixing errors, liaising with customers and our branches
  • Assist with the marketing of the company, including, but not limited to, social media output and company campaigns
  • Assist with the analysis, updates and changes needed on our Product Database

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Be prepared to undertake administrative or other ad-hoc tasks
  • Answer phones and deal with queries into the office
  • Work closely with our branches and staff to ensure Gardner and Scardifield can provide a complete service to all customers and that procedures are followed, with queries resolved quickly and correctly
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, including for sales and stock

About Brighton MET (formerly City College Brighton and Hove)

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.

The MET offers a comprehensive range of qualifications for 16 year olds leaving school, full and part time courses for adults, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university degrees. The MET operates across five campuses in Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing and teaches around 3,500 16-18 year olds, 7,500 adult learners, 1,000 undergraduates and 800 apprentices.

Brighton MET Apprenticeships offer a matching service for apprentices to be put forward to a range of apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of sectors in the city.
