The Place

Barnett Hill Hotel joined the Alexander Hotels family in September 2016.

Barnett Hill is a beautiful Queen Anne style property, built in 1905, set within 26 acres of lovingly maintained gardens and woodlands, sitting in the heart of the Surrey Hill area of outstanding natural beauty just outside Guildford, Surrey. This idyllic location is 15 minutes from Guildford town and 45 mins from Central London.

A recent exciting refurbishment and redevelopment recently has transformed this venue into a beautiful Country House Hotel. The Hotel including all bedrooms have been completely refurbished and updated with the recent completion of the refurbishment of the Mews building to finish the transformation and increase the number of bedrooms to 56 in total. Our first AA inspection has resulted in 4 Stars for the Hotel and 2 Rosettes for dining being awarded, so we are well on the way!

The hotel is becoming popular as a leisure break destination as well as still catering for corporate, wedding and conference events. We are offering guests a sample of our spa treatments available at our Utopia Spas in our other hotels in designated treatment rooms within the Hotel. Demand for Utopia treatments is rising so we are seeking to further increase our team of therapists by introducing a full-time therapist to the team.

The Role

As a Spa Therapist you will;

• offer the full range of technical face & body treatments.
• provide excellent customer service from guests welcome and arrival to their departure.
• complete client consultations and ensuring a proper record is made of results.
• ensuring the guest journey through their Spa experience is outstanding.
• explain the treatment to be performed.
• ensure the treatment is offered to the client’s requirements.
• discuss and sell retail products and beauty regime to enhance the guests experience following their treatment.
• offer refreshments in the relaxation area on conclusion of the treatment.
• liaise with Reception to ensure correct billing.
• During quieter periods to guarantee contracted hours Spa Therapists will be invited to work on Hotel Reception.

The Requirements

• Shifts include; 9.45am – 6.15pm, 10.45am – 7.15pm, 11.45am – 8.15pm
• 40 hrs over 5 days, including weekend working
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy is essential
• Completion of a trade test with the Spa Manager prior to recruitment

SALARY & BENEFITS

£21,966.83 OTE including;

• Commission on treatments
• 10% Retail Commission
