Healthcare Assistant - 22.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and hard working team on the Intermediate Care Unit at Uckfield Hospital.

We are a 14-bed unit providing high quality 24 hour care for patients with a variety of medical needs including semi-acute admissions, rehabilitation, palliative and terminal care. Our multidisciplinary approach to individualised care enables people to be cared for nearer to home.

You must be flexible with experience of care work and enjoy working as part of a team. The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able assist the team in helping patients with their rehabilitation goals and preparing patients for discharge. You will be supported with a comprehensive induction period and ongoing training and development.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly on both day and night shifts.

Uckfield Hospital has free on-site parking facilities which can be used by staff.
