Company

Welcome to Bexhill Academy, we are a vibrant and thriving school at the heart of our local community. Situated on the South Coast of England in the beautiful County of East Sussex. The Academy is close to the attractive seaside towns of Eastbourne and Hastings, within easy reach of Brighton and numerous pretty rural villages.

At Bexhill we strive to ensure that we enable each child to become a balanced, happy and articulate person, with the intellectual freedom to be creative; confidence to initiate; flexibility to respond to challenge, change and adversity; compassion to serve others; spirit to enjoy life; integrity to be trustworthy; and motivation to have a lifelong love of learning.

All staff who work at this Academy are fully committed to working together to secure rapid improvements in all areas and work tirelessly to this end. This strong sense of moral purpose makes Bexhill Academy a uniquely special place to work and we are committed to providing a working environment that encourages all staff to invest in their own professional development and the professional development of their colleagues. As a result the school can now proudly announce that it has been removed from ‘Special Measures’.

The lead Ofsted Inspector stated;

“It’s lovely to see a place that is going places”.
In addition to this tremendously good news I can also report that the school has been allocated £6million to make the changes to our building design. The funding will enable us to return to traditional individual classrooms moving away from the open plan PODs that are a current feature of the school. We will also be able to create 7 new Science Labs, new Food Technology, Computer Science rooms and a much needed Library.

As an Attwood Academy we offer an exciting and rewarding place to work. We are currently looking to recruit staff who also wish to make a real difference, staff who have drive, ambition and energy; and who are ready to join us on our journey to ‘Outstanding’.

My aim is for Bexhill High Academy to be judged to be a ‘good’ school by the end of 2016 and ‘Outstanding’ by 2019. The single most important factor in ensuring that as a school we achieve our goal is to recruit and retain outstanding staff. We are therefore able to offer attractive packages to join the school and also a loyalty bonus linked to performance management payable after two years.

If this sounds like the place for you then come and have a look around and talk to us directly
