Job Details

24 hours per week, 36 weeks per year. Fixed term contract until 31.8.22.

£21,628 p.a. pro rata.

You will provide one to one support to a student who has complex needs, including learning difficulties (Autism) and medical needs (Epilepsy). Support will need to be provided from hand over in the morning and during lessons and breaktimes.

The postholder will facilitate and assist the student in the classroom and other learning environments and in safely navigating around the college environment through close support and supervision including physical assistance via use of handling belt. They will also support the student with personal care needs as required to encourage independence and confidence to participate in all elements of their study programme.

Successful applicants will have Autism and Epilepsy awareness as well as an understanding of range of SEND.

This post is subject to a DBS check.

Closing date: 16th August 2021 with interviews on 23rd August.
