Specialist Teaching Assistant

20 hours per week, term time only, 36 weeks per year,

Fixed term contract until 08 July 2022

£18,391 to £20,289 p.a. pro rata.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to be based at our Hastings campus.

The post holder will support an individual student to achieve within the teaching and learning environment, both practical and classroom based, and during break times, to encourage them to develop independent learning skills, and also support them with travel to and from college. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the SEND Coordinator and curriculum teams to ensure the provision meets needs identified within the EHCP or SEN Support plan.

Applicants will need to have knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and experience of supporting young people with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities.
