Warehouse Assistant

New opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to join a company based in Ford on a temp to perm basis. This role will start on a part time basis with the view on to becoming a full time position for the successful candidate.

Key purpose of the role:

Working within the warehouse, you will assume responsibility for receiving incoming deliveries, inspection of incoming deliveries, picking & packing customer orders and general housekeeping & maintenance of the warehouse.

Main duties:

• Receiving incoming deliveries
• Checking & Inspection of incoming goods to purchase order requirements
• Providing general logistics support
• Maintaining general housekeeping of the warehouse
• Replenishing & Sorting packaging materials
• Warehouse administration task
• Accurate picking and packing of customer orders
• Quality Control of Goods inwards/ outwards
• Accurate use of the order management system
• Accurate shipping of customer orders

Requirements for the role include:

• Excellent attention to detail & strength in mathematics
• An ability to remain calm, confident and focused while handling high numbers of tasks
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Training will be provided as necessary
• It is not essential to have previous experience in handling electronic components although experience is desirable
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues and external contacts
• High level of dexterity
• Due to the location of the job, candidates must have their own transport

Hours: Flexible hours, starting off on a part time basis 22 hours each week which will eventually turn full time

Pay rate: £9.00 per hour
