Job overview

An exciting opportunity, for a Band 4 Information Analyst and Team Administrator, has arisen within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Performance Team. The Performance Team supports colleagues across the Trust to understand and utilise data to improve the services we deliver and the care we provide our patients.

To succeed in this role you will need to have a good eye for detail, a high level of numerical, communication, analytical and administrative skills. Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities for this role includes supporting the team members with the development, preparation and production of internal and external performance reports and providing general administrative support.

Working as a central part of the Performance Team we are looking for applicants who are organised and good at multi-tasking; who can work to deadlines, plan and prioritise their workloads independently; who can work as part of a team, as well as independently and who have the ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.

  • Ability to travel to other sites across the Trust


Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Educated to diploma level in related subject or equivalent
  • Good level of education to at least GCSE/NVQ Level or equivalent
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy


Experience
Essential criteria
  • At least one year's relevant experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience of producing documents - e.g. performance reports
  • At least two years' experience of using Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate level
  • Experience of administrative processes within an office environment


Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a health setting
  • Experience of data inputting, databases and spreadsheets
  • Experience of TPP SystmOne / NHS information systems
  • Experience of using Excel Spreadsheets to manipulate and present complex data
  • Experience of database systems


Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent level of skills with office software applications, including Excel and Word
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Good standard of inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Ability to follow through procedures on own initiative
  • Ability to be self-directed and work alone, to manage own workload and work to deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise and deal with unpredictable work patterns
  • To be able to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information
  • Experience in dealing with various internal and external departments
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
  • Willing to develop and expand information technology skills
  • To be able to demonstrate continuing development skills
