Job overview

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

If you have a postgraduate certificate in adult low intensity therapies and are experienced as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) looking for variety in your working week, then look no further than Time to Talk Health, where we'll support you every step of the way to develop your skills and career. Our clinical focus is always on improving mental health, while understanding how a long term physical health condition (LTC) impacts on patients' lives and their recovery.

Main duties of the job

As a PWP in our service you'll provide face-to-face, telephone and digital interventions, as well as six-month reviews after patients are discharged to see how they are. Our experienced PWPs work alongside physical healthcare teams to improve patients' recovery and you'll have opportunity to deliver Step 2 interventions in various settings. We know working in IAPT can be tough and we look after the wellbeing of everyone in our friendly team.

Working for our organisation

To support you in your new role you'll enjoy a comprehensive induction programme which includes LTC training and weekly clinical supervision alongside monthly skills sessions and regular CPD. Based in Horsham or Worthing, with some local travel required, our flexible working includes a later evening once a week and opportunities to work from home. If you're looking to reduce your hours we can accommodate part time working.

We particularly welcome applications from disabled, LGBT+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as we would like our TTTH team to reflect the diverse communities we serve. As a Trust, we recognise the positive value of diversity in providing high quality and culturally competent care; we are a Disability Confident Employer, and benefit from thriving and supportive BAME, Disability, LGBT+ and Religion and Belief Staff Networks.

We may be able to help you with a relocation package if you are considering moving to West Sussex.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
a) The post holder will work within the IAPT Long term Conditions service called Timet o Talk Health in the north or coastal locality of West Sussex. The service is a primary care focused service with a strong ethos of developing mental wellbeing and emotional resilience.
