Based at Central Campus, Brighton
Working 37 hours per week, full year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Greater Brighton Metropolitan College as a full-time lecturer with course leader responsibility in our Computing and Digital technologies department. This permanent post will give the right candidate a rare opportunity to shape the curriculum in this fast-moving and dynamic subject sector.
Our varied courses in computing aim to give our students the appropriate in-demand skills to meet the needs of the local and national computing and digital industries job market.
If you have industry experience or are a qualified lecturer and can deliver outstanding lessons in all or some of the following subjects this could be the ideal position for you;
- Excellent knowledge of networking and hardware
- Advantageous to be able to code e.g. C#, Python, CSS, HTML and JavaScript
- Ideally possess a good understanding of some or one of the following qualifications: BTEC Extended Diploma in IT, OCR Cambridge Technical, Laser Access to Higher Education, OCR Diploma in IT Level 2, BTEC HNC and HND
If you have experience of leading a course in Further Education this would also be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be joining Brighton MET at a very exciting time in the college's 150 year history as we launch our new and re-developed facilities at Pelham Street in the heart of the city. There has never been a more exciting time to come and work for us.
