Full-time - 37 hours per week or part-time variable hours (please specify preferred hours on application)

Main base will be Broadwater Campus - however the role will be remote working.

We are seeking to appoint a Skills Coach who can engage with learners and inspire them to achieve their potential in line with College and Awarding Body procedures. 

The Skills Coach will be supporting a maximum of 40 learners and you will be delivering skills coaching, support and learner assessments for the Business Skills and Management apprenticeship programmes also delivering Functional Skills support to ensure learners achieve the level of competence required.

Ideally you should have experience of delivering a combination of awards from the following list:

  • Customer Service Apprenticeship Standards Level 2 & 3
  • Business Adminstrator Apprenticeship Standard Level 3
  • Team Leader Apprenticeship Standard Level 3
  • Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard Level 4
  • Operations Manager Apprenticeship Standard Level 5

You will require effective working knowledge of the Apprenticeship programme with experience of assessing, internal verification and work based delivery models. You should have a customer-focused attitude with strong communication and IT skills.

You should hold an assessor and internal verification qualification and GCSE English & Maths (at grade C or above, or equivalent), also Level 2 Functional Skills (or working towards).

GBMet or ‘the MET’ offers a comprehensive range of qualifications for 16 year olds leaving school, full and part time courses for adults, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university degrees.
