Senior System upgrade Manager - Service Delivery - MR Linac Solutions

Description – The Senior system upgrade manager will oversee the coordination and execution of identified MR-Linac specific upgrades. Reporting into the Global Service Delivery Manager, the role will be based within the Service & Clinical Operations (S&CO) team, part of the MR-Linac business line. The primary focus of the S&CO team is to provide guidance and support to the regional service teams in delivering the highest level of customer service across the Global MR-Linac installed base. As an experienced Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of essential system upgrades, across an ever-increasing Global installed base. Over the coming years we expect to see a wide range of upgrades, this role is key to ensuring they are delivered successfully. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the agreed requirements are delivered, to enable the customer benefits to be realised. All achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

Responsibilities –

  • Provide inputs into engineering to ensure stakeholder needs are met
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are achievable and in-line with service capabilities
  • Owner of overall implementation timelines, dependencies, and integration points
  • Prepare each of the regional implementation teams for upgrade capacity requirements
  • Work closely with X-functional management to effectively plan and prepare for future releases
  • Quality output for all project deliverables
  • Timely escalation of issues or potential high-impacting risks
  • Drive upgrade efficiency in order to delight the customer
  • Streamline and continuously look to improve the upgrade process
  • Liaise with partnered suppliers/external parties in preparation for future relevant releases
  • Support regional teams during on-site validation from Pilot release (VPR) teams
  • Line Manager of system upgrade coordinator(s)

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies -

  • Proven project manager (PMP or equivalent)
  • Degree or equivalent in project management, business management or relevant engineering discipline
  • Relevant project management experience for seniority of the position  
  • Ability to operate within multiple levels of an organisation and in an international/multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent communication skills enabling dialogue with the different levels both internally and externally
  • The ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders
  • Proven leadership/management skills – ability to lead a team
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems
  • Strong IT (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) experience
  • Good negotiation skills. Capable of rational, structured, and logical thinking
  • Good business and commercial awareness
  • Strong written and verbal skills.  Output shall be concise and accurate.
  • Excellent personal organisation skills, task orientation
  • Proven capability to adapt, learn and lead under pressure
  • Tact discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to plan your own work, use your initiative and meet deadlines
