IT Support Specialist - Service Desk

B&CE have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an IT Support Specialist – Service Desk. You will work within a thriving function who have guided B&CE’s growth to become a leading provider within workplace pensions.

Currently available as an FTC for 12 months, we are looking for a talented individual who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is a hybrid opportunity with the successful candidate working both at home and in the office.

Main Purpose:

A fundamental role to the success of the IT Services team delivery strategy, supporting the internal customer use of IT hardware and software including AV systems. Performing primarily 1st line support duties to assist the IT Service team with day-to-day service desk requests; to provide an effective IT support service that meets the needs of B&CE’s staff and group activities.

Act as a single point of contact for phone calls and service desk requests from internal customers. Monitoring service desk trends and escalating if needed. Aiding in creating workflows and practices to continually improve the IT Services teams’ support offering.

Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of IT policies. Actively contributing to the achievement of the IT departments’ objectives. Applying a Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) culture and principles within areas of responsibility.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Experienced in an ITIL 1st / 2nd line service & support environment with incident management responsibilities
• Windows 10
• Active Directory
• TCP/IP
• Wireless technologies
• Mobile devices
• Backup and restore methodologies
• Printer and copier management
• Client hardware troubleshooting
• Service Desk solutions
• MS Office
• File sharing, permissions
• Bomgar Remote Support or similar
• Previously worked in a dynamic IT Service Desk environment following ITIL best practice.
• Proven experience with dealing directly with customers, and providing a high level of service support
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills

Desirable

• Microsoft certification or equivalent
• ITIL certification
