A modern and fresh thinking accountancy business are looking for a brilliant Practice Operations Manager to take control of a dynamic young team and an expanding client base in the heart of Brighton. This is a career changing opportunity for a disciplined accountant with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of client and team development, looking for their next move. 

Working with an ambitious team and fantastic Director, we need a likeminded accountant at board level to join us as we diversify into business consultancy work, adding to our core services of compliance, administration, and financial management, for our ambitious clients. The role offers extensive opportunities alongside a competitive salary, benefits package and the potential for equity.

Key Requirements

• Qualified Accountant, ACCA or ACA
• Experience of preparing Statutory, Financial and Management Accounts for small and medium sized businesses
• Experience of assisting clients manage Cash and Budgets
• Experience working within an Accountancy Practice within Client Accounting
• Supervisory experience including allocating responsibility to teams
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, experience of directly managing your own client portfolio

Overall job purpose to: 

1. Ensure that clients receive service levels that align with the marketing promise
2. Retain all worthwhile clients
3. Raise the average client billing annually
4. Develop team commitment
5. Develop team productivity
6. Match team capacity to workloads and deadlines
7. Contribute to practice business strategy
8. Execute allocated business strategies
9. Control the operations budget
10. Report on operations performance
11. Ensure the accurate implementation of practice Action Plans and Procedures
