Weekend pay rate from £11.62 to £13.06 DOE


Mayfield Children's Home is a specialist home looking after children with learning disabilities. We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, caring and professional Waking Night Support Workers to join our friendly team at
the weekend. Although some care experience is preferable, it's not essential as we employ people based on their values and willingness to learn - full training is given.


Our staff are our best asset and you will receive:
• Competitive hourly rate

• 28 days’ annual holiday with additional days added for long term service (pro-rata for part time).

Key responsibilities:
• Have a fun and enthusiastic attitude to supporting the children.
• Maintain a homely environment.
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness/hygiene through tidying, cleaning, laundry and other duties.
• Support the children with routine tasks and personal care whilst treating them with respect and dignity.
• Administer medication (with training/guidance).
• Where challenging behaviours occur, use training guidelines and strategies to maintain boundaries and a safe environment for all.
• Maintain a high level of report writing, e.g. daily reports, incident reports and accident reports.
• Ensure the health and safety of the environment as well as that relating to colleagues and young people.


Requirements for the role:
• You will have exceptional communication skills and a caring nature.
• You will be happy to work shifts and be available to work at weekends and on bank holidays.
• You must have a clean manual driving licence.
• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS (paid for by us) and satisfactory references.
