Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Chef to work within Little Lancing Nursery and the College.  

The Chef will be responsible for serving meals and snacks to all the children in our Nursery. Working in a kitchen that’s rated 5* for hygiene, you’ll maintain our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, complying with all the necessary food preparation and storage procedures to keep a clean and well-functioning kitchen. In addition to cooking and serving meals you’ll oversee ordering food supplies within an agreed budget and will be required to work in the College kitchen during the afternoon.

Experience working in a nursery environment would be favourable. Knowledge of allergens and special diets essential, along with relevant professional qualifications.

This is a full time position, hours of work will be 40 hours per week, for five days out of seven, working every other weekend, for 52 weeks of the year. These hours are to be worked 8.00am – 12.30pm at Little Lancing Nursery as the main Chef then from 1pm – 4.30pm at the College to assist with prep.  A free lunch will be provided when on duty. Option to work overtime when available.
