We are looking for committed individual to work in a very important role as part of the facilities team in our Meadowfield Hospital coffee shop for 37.5 hours per week.

You should have good communication skills, a flexible attitude, be able to work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

To work alongside other members of staff to successfully run the Well Bean Café and ensure customers' expectation of food, beverage and customer service are met. This may include any aspect of café operation including equipment, facilities, health & safety, customer care and administration. You will be required to work in Meadowfield Cafe.

Take individual responsibility for duties associated with Well Bean Cafe plus other functions agreed with Catering Manager. Work closely with Facilities, clinical, catering and administration colleagues, clients, service users, PCT's and support groups to ensure an integrated approach to achieving an effective service of the highest standards.

Acting as a focal point for Well Bean Cafe and departmental staff, promoting good customer care. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, current legislation, Trust policies and NHS cleaning standards as they apply to the delivery of services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
  • To work in Well Bean café at Meadowfield Hospital
  • To set and maintain the highest standards of customer service at all times
  • To take responsibility for the presentation of the food on the counters & in the fridges offered for sale and completion of admin duties
  • To be responsible for the monitoring and control of stock and wastage by undertaking stock takes at regular intervals
  • To ensure good time keeping and to comply at all times to security procedures and uniform as instructed
  • To maintain the standards of hygiene and health & safety at all times and throughout the catering operation.
