Every year we support hundreds of children, young people and their families by providing a range of world-class services, especially catering for those with a neurological motor impairment, such as cerebral palsy.

The Role of a Team Leader

In this role, you will assist the manager with the operational delivery of two provisions, Chailey Heritage Pathways which offers highly specialist care for children and young adults in their homes and communities and our Futures Hub, an exciting, vibrant day service.   

You will lead and direct the team by providing effective supervision, ensuring good working practice at all times whilst meeting the changing needs of the service.

You will be a caring and compassionate person with an understanding of the importance of giving the best possible care and support to young people with disabilities.

You will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Responsible for liaising with service users to ensure they are receiving the best possible care
  • Assessing individual needs and participating in reviews
  • Provide supervision to the team, mentoring and advising when required
  • To support the health and care needs of the young people
  • Ensuring a wide range of exciting and innovative activities are built into the weekly timetable
  • Create relaxing and stimulating opportunities through sensory activities
  • Providing reports and management information when required

Above all, we are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • Previous experience of working with children and/or adults with disabilities
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate using a range of communication aids
  • Leadership and decision making skills
  • Ability to achieve certification within Food Hygiene, First Aid, Sensory and an NVQ in Health & Social Care

  • Competitive rates of pay starting at £22,801 rising to £23,575. (£11.85 - £12.25 per hour)
