Working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Based at Broadwater Campus, Worthing
Main purpose and scope of the post:
- To support the Careers and Employability Manager with the colleges contractual obligations, of meeting work experience and Industry placements, for students on our 16-19 study programmes and T levels respectively.
- To conduct health and safety risk assessments at employers’ premises, in relation to experiences of the workplace and other external employer engagement opportunities for our students.
- To ensure all premises/ employers are visited and assessed within key targets, standards and deadlines directed by the business needs.
- To be the first point of contact for the college within our local market area to coordinate the required Health and Safety assessments, in relation to all placements for the college.
- To ensure that all risk assessments in relation to all employability and apprenticeship placements for students, are completed in a professional, accurate and timely manner on site with the employer.
- To offer support and guidance to employers with regards to the health and safety aspect of our placements, to ensure the environment meets the required standards for a successful placement.
- To produce records, data feedback and reports from employer visits for management information as and when requested.
- To establish, build up and maintain employer relations creating extra employer engagement opportunities for the benefit of our students
- To be able to present to teams internally and externally the health and safety information and guidelines required for a secure and satisfactory placement as and when required.
