We are seeking a conscientious, self-motivated individual to join our Facilities Team in a caretaker role. This is an integral role to the School and candidates must be flexible and happy to work outside of traditional working hours.

Candidates will be required to lock and un-lock the School helping to maintain the security of staff and students who live and work on site. They will also play an important role in preparing the School for the many and varied events that take place throughout the year. As part of the wider Facilities Team they will have the opportunity to become involved with a wide variety of tasks from basic maintenance to cleaning but full training is available.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be practical and as happy working on their own as they are in a team.

Hours for the role are 06:00 to 08:00 and 21:00 to 23:00 5 days a week (which will include some weekends) but could be split between morning and evenings for the right candidate. Please note this role is required throughout the entire year and not just term time. There will be some limited flexibility around hours during the School holidays.

Mayfield is a leading independent Catholic boarding and day school for 400 girls aged 11-18 years, set in 75 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London, 40 minutes from Gatwick and 15 minutes from the charming historic town of Tunbridge Wells.
