An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CDS Leadership Team as we are seeking an organised, experienced and self-motivated Business Manager. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for attention to detail, a proactive approach and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with stakeholders and staff who sit both inside and externally to the CDS and Trust.

Main duties of the job

Coordinate the performance and outcomes on behalf of the CDS as well as supporting the Deputy Director and CDS Leadership Team on any service developments.

The successful applicant will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal will be to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support the work of the CDS. Working to and supported by the CDS Contract and Performance Manager, you will support the CDS Leadership Team and lead on key aspects of the CDS quality assurance agenda, including:
  • Wait times
  • Data quality
  • Supervision/appraisal monitoring with the Deputy Service Director
  • CDS Carenotes Lead
  • Care plan/risk assessment/physical health
  • E-RS
  • Producing data from Power BI to inform the business priorities to support the Deputy Service Director

And support the Contract & Performance Manager with:
  • Recovery plans and ensuring actions are followed up and recorded
  • CQUINs
  • Working with the local Commissioners on local service developments and reporting

We will need you to be able to demonstrate:

  • that you can coach, advise and support colleagues in sourcing data

Person specification

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • Relevant degree or diploma level qualification or equivalent experience plus training & experience to post graduate diploma level
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
  • Knowledge of current NHS performance agenda
  • Knowledge of business case procedures
  • Experience and evidence of analysing, interpreting and presenting information
  • Experience and evidence of leading on a project or directly supporting via a project management process
  • Experience of performance monitoring
  • Experience of managing or maintaining data management systems
