Events Manager
The business is an establish & experienced multi-site event caterer looking for an experienced event manager to manage our weddings and corporate events. We are approved caterers for several prestigious venues in Sussex & London covering a variety of catering services from summer parties to black tie dinners.
We require candidates who have a genuine understanding and enthusiasm for the events industry. Requiring someone with good attention to detail and a personable manor who can manage an event from start to finish efficiently & effectively displaying excellent leadership qualities.
Looking for candidates who have the following attributes
- Excellent timekeeper and reliability
- An ability to communicate & manage others
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a variety of locations
- Show good organisation skills and a calmness under pressure.
- Be physically fit
: Key responsibilities include though not limited to
- Planning & set up of the day
- Management of the front of house team that could range from 5 to 30 staff
- Liaison with the venue & end client
- Ensuring the guests especially the bride and groom have a special day
- Managing equipment and its upkeep.
- H&S & Staff paperwork
Must have a clean manual driving license and confidence to drive a medium transit sized van.

Working Hours & Location
Rota’s are written 2 weeks in advance based on events and business demand
Summer is predominately weddings Thursdays – Saturdays ( estimated 3 out of 4 weekend )
Winter is predominately weekday work ( estimated 1 out of 4 weekend )
Venues are spread across West Sussex & into London. Our head office is based in Crawley where equipment is held, and planning takes place. In the winter we operate at Plumpton racecourse racedays and set up.
Experience:
- Event Management: 1 year minimum. Please do not apply if you have not managed or worked in an event/outdoor/venue catering environment before.
