Part-time 0.5FTE (18.5 hours per week)

Based at our Central Campus, Brighton

Due to the expansion of our Creative Media department, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join Brighton MET as a 0.5 FTE lecturer with Study Programme Lead responsibility for our new Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Media PostProduction. This course, in its first year, will give the right candidate a rare opportunity to design the curriculum to meet employer and student needs in this fast-moving and dynamic subject sector. The aim of the course is to give students a deeper understanding in post production practice, to focus on developing skills that are recognised as in high demand in the local and national creative industries and to prepare our students for progression into industry or onto HE.

We are keen to hear from applicants who have a relevant degree in post production and perhaps have industry experience of working in media post production in TV, Film or web. If you have Further Education course leadership experience, are a qualified lecturer and can deliver outstanding lessons in all or some of the following subjects this could be the ideal position for you; Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Colour Grading, Compositing, Digital Animation, 3D modelling. If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you. This exciting post is permanent and would ideally start from the 30th August 2022.

The successful candidate will be joining the MET at a very exciting time in the college's 150 year creative history as we continue to invest in our digital provision in our newly built, and re-developed, Pelham Street campus in the heart of the city. There has never been a more exciting time to come and work for us.
