Job Details

We’re an animation studio looking for a passionate and diligent aspiring Digital Marketer happy to muck in with other areas of operations including new business, production support and office admin. We’re a motion design studio making animation for revolutionary brands, agencies and non-profits.

We’re a people-first animation studio. The quality of our work is important – it’s what keeps us in business. But we spend a lot of time and attention on building an environment where people feel valued and supported.

A key value of ours is IMPACT. We’ve just launched our first Impact Report and have identified areas for improvement as a business. Something this role would be helping with is marketing our impact. We would like better track the impact we have for our clients through the work we do and then communicate this through our project case studies, website and marketing campaigns.

We anticipate the role being split roughly 70/30 digital marketing and new business / production support. This may vary week by week depending on the production needs.


Here’s an overview of the tasks that will make up the job description:


Digital marketing:

  • Work with company directors to produce long-term marketing strategies Produce and manage marketing calendar Running marketing campaigns and reporting on success Manage Google Analytics and reporting on website traffic and search data Manage social channels - posting content, interacting with people Managing newsletter campaigns and writing content Website updates and posting new projects with testimonials Manage YouTube channel and add new projects with appropriate tags/optimisation Collect data, imagery and content to help produce project case studies Writing blog posts Produce a database of our work sorted by types of animations for future reference


New business development:

  • Researching companies and building contact lists New business marketing campaigns - new and existing clients Sending Lead Forensics follow-up emails Sending new business emails and manage CRM in Hubspot


Production and office support:

  • Supporting Production Manager with adhoc duties including: Finding music for client projects Recording temp VOs Managing Vimeo video library Archiving delivered projects Building documents including storyboards and project schedules Note-taking for meetings including Project Debriefs and following up with actions
  • Supporting Office Manager with adhoc duties including: General hospitality Keeping studio clean and tidy, watering plants Ordering supplies and keeping studio/kitchen well-stocked Answering the phone and front door


Excellent written and spoken English Great digital and IT skills, confident approach to learning new software Understanding of marketing Good design eye Content writing skills or interest in learning how to write copy Experience with Squarespace, Hubspot and Adobe Creative Suite (nice to have)


Motivated, keen to learn and develop Business-minded and interest in marketing/business growth High accuracy and attention to detail Proactive Solution-focused Collaborative and approachable Training to be provided

Digital marketer level 3 standard 

You will undertake the Digital Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship. 

Apprentices will receive a mixture of on and off-the-job training in addition to monthly sessions with a Training Coach. Training will be provided at our Training Centre in Brighton and our Training Coaches will offer support and guidance in the workplace where apprentices will gain on-the job experience to build the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to begin their career in Digital Marketing.

​The Apprenticeship includes:

  • BCS Certificate in Marketing Principles
  • BCS Certificate in Principles of Coding
  • Google Analytics IQ


Apprentices will be required to build a portfolio of evidence of workplace activities to demonstrate that they have achieved the required level of skills and knowledge for the qualification programme.

During the 15 months of training you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across three Knowledge Modules:

Marketing Principles – starting with the basics you will learn how to effectively target customers based on their wants and desires as well as how the sales and marketing funnels work. You will understand what makes customers buy or not buy and how marketing can influence this as well as how to effectively focus on target markets and manage customers to make them loyal to a business.

How the Web Works – delving into the techniques you will learn the Principles of Coding and how marketers create effective websites, designs and user interfaces. This includes how web design and development drive engagement and conversions.

Driving Return on Investment – using data to create detailed customer insight, you will learn how to use industry-leading platforms (including Google Analytics) to understand the online customer journey and improve your marketing based on customer usage of your website.

Functional Skills:

English and maths Level 2 - if GCSE Grade C or above, (level 4-9) has not already been achieved.
