Job Description
To deliver support to category team on key projects, provide day to day supplier management and manage a variety of projects under supervision
A Typical Day Includes:
- Day-to-day operational management of category related suppliers
- Deliver cost reduction and sustainability projects with support from category team
- Market research on product trends, innovation, sustainability, pricing and legislative requirements
- Help mitigate supply risks and drive continuous improvement
SPECIFIC TASKS
- Day-to-day supplier engagement and issue resolution
- Track and report on key supplier contract performances
- Run tenders, benchmarking tasks with support from Category team
- Negotiate terms with suppliers and implement contracts liaising with internal legal team in line with policy and processes with support from line manager
- Ongoing analysis of category area spend, reporting trends and highlighting opportunities
- Support supplier creation process, assessing suppliers, providing guidance for supplier approval
- Conduct supplier analysis to support various projects, including acquisitions
- Support the delivery of category best practice across Global colleague forums
Requirements
- CIPS or equivalent qualification
- Experience in Fleet or Indirect procurement function
- Proven track record of stakeholder management at a senior management level
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
