The position is working for a small team offering Operational Management, Health & Safety and Feature Management to various UK and European Exhibitions. The Co-ordinator will report directly to the company directors.

The co-ordinator will be responsible for providing support services to ensure the smooth running of a variety of exhibitions including managing a large quantity of incoming email and data.  Your attention to detail will be key to every aspect of the role and you will need to possess excellent time management, multi tasking and communication skills. It is essential that you’re able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

The role will include managing the company’s social media platforms and website.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite work for various events in the UK and Europe
  • Answer the phone and take messages or deal with queries in a professional manner.  Be first point of communication either in person or by telephone for all exhibitors and contractors
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets for all shows
  • Manage social media platforms and the company website
  • Deal with paperwork from exhibitors
  • Provide a full range of administrative duties/functions to the rest of the team when required.
  • Provide Support to the operational team, before, during and after they are on site Stand plan audits Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company. Book travel, hotels and assist with booking of expenses
  • Any other ad hoc duties

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and listening skills), with excellent spelling, grammar and the ability to produce error-free documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and use of Mac products Ability to use various social media platforms Pro-active and self motivated Planning & organisation skills Problem solving, questioning and focussed on finding solutions Working on your own, using your own initiative, as well as being a team player Flexible and with a passion for continuous improvement A knowledge of the event industry and/or health & safety experience is desirable but not essential Willing to work some weekends (days off will be given in lieu) and travel to various venues across the UK and Europe
