Linen Porter

Linen Porter urgently required to support a hospital in the Brighton & Hove area. All applicants must be referenceable for the last 3 years with no criminal convictions. This position is available immediately with the possibility of turning in to a permanent contract for the successful candidate. 

Successful candidates will benefit from full training provided by the client, weekly pay and overtime rates. 

Duties and responsibilities of a linen porter: 

• Loading and unloading linens and towels in cages 
• Transporting heavy cages to different areas in the hospital 
• Packing and folding linen
• Restock linen shelves and maintain stock levels 
• Report and escalate any issues to the supervisor
• Ensure company standards of hygiene are maintained 

Requirements of a linen porter:

• Must be physically fit due to the heavy cages that needs to be distributed to different areas
• Must have good work history 
• Good communication skills 
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to use own initiative 

Hours: 0700-1300 with 30 mins unpaid break Monday to Friday, 0700-1200 Saturday

Pay: £9.50 per hour Monday to Friday and £14.25 weekends/Bank Holidays
