Job overview

Immunisation Nurses (Various bases across Sussex)

We have several opportunities for Band 5 Immunisation Nurses to join our ages 0-19 years / school-aged Immunisation Service Teams on a one year fixed term contract

The vacancies are part time (22.5 hours per week over 3 days) until 31/08/23.

SCFT's Immunisation Service vaccinates children in schools and clinics across West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

We have positions available based at Chichester, Crawley, Heathfield, Uckfield and Worthing teams , however our whole service approach requires joint working across the whole of Sussex.

Please indicate in your application, under Supplementary Information, your preferred base team.

Main duties of the job

Our innovative and dynamic Immunisation teams are dedicated to improving immunisation uptake and delivering the national evidence-based Schools' Immunisation Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding service.

The role encompasses responsibility for clinical delivery of vaccinations and patient safety, specialist advice on immunisation issues, and the opportunity to develop skills in both independent and team working.

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and cooperatively with colleagues both within their own team and the wider multidisciplinary teams across the whole SCFT area. You will need to be motivated, conscientious and committed to supporting us to maintain high vaccination coverage across Sussex.
