Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly, established nursing and medical team within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Crawley Hospital. The service provides urgent and unscheduled care 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week with a fully integrated ambulatory primary care service for the Crawley population and surrounding communities.

Main duties of the job

You will require at least 6 months post qualifying experience in an acute care setting, preferably urgent or emergency care and evidence of consolidation of acute nursing skills. You will be required to assess and prioritise all patients presenting to the unit whilst ensuring safe, efficient, and effective treatment of all patients within a predefined target time of arrival to the Unit.

The successful candidate will be committed to service improvements with an acceptance of change, and desire to work in a positive environment that embraces the challenges UTC faces as the service moves forward.

You will demonstrate a calm and confident approach to your work demonstrating excellent nursing and communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.

qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Completed and obtained RN and has current live PIN on NMC register.


Desirable criteria
  • PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT OF ADULTS


experience
Essential criteria
  • Minimum of six months post qualifying experience in an acute
  • Experience in critical care/emergency care.
  • Evidence of developing interpersonal skills
  • *Experience in supervision of student nurses/allied health professionals.
  • *Caring for ill people in a variety of settings.

  • Evidence of understanding and insight into current
  • Evidence of appropriate knowledge base.
  • *Aware of responsibilities in relation to NMC Professional Code of
  • Experience of clinical supervision.
