HR Coordinator - Training & Reward
Salary: £27,667 to £33,576
Post Type: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 23.59 hours BST on Sunday 14 August 2022
The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) delivers world-class research, learning and teaching that transforms the knowledge, action and leadership needed for more equitable and sustainable development globally.
The HR Team at IDS are people focused, providing a professional service to all employees. Our HR vision is to put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do, modelling the IDS values in our behaviours and practice and foster a culture of respect for people, policy and process. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an HR Coordinator focusing on Training and Reward.
IDS is currently undertaking a large scale pay & reward review so this role will play a key part in coordinating, supporting and implementing the actions resulting from this review, alongside overseeing the current pay & review practices. IDS is committed to developing all staff and this role is also fundamental in organising and coordinating the training and development events for all employees at the Institute. Alongside these key responsibilities the HR Coordinator will work as part of the team and support a range of generalist HR tasks.
Candidates will be expected to have completed or be near completing the CIPD level 5 qualification and ideally have some experience of working in a reward or training environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical in this outward facing role, as you'll be working with employees across the institute and liaising with external partners and organisations. We are a small team so we are looking for a team player who has an enthusiastic approach to work.
We particularly welcome applications from men for this vacancy as they are currently under-represented in our team.
