Job overview

This is an interesting and varied Bank position that would suit an individual who is looking for a rewarding role. The post holder will be motivated and flexible, working well within a team. Good time management skills and being able to prioritise tasks is essential as is having good attention to detail.

You will need to demonstrate a professional and confident telephone manner. You will also need to have the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed.

This is a busy Bank position and the successful candidate will provide excellent administration support to our administration and clinical team. A good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.

This Bank position is initially a 6-month assignment, but this is currently under review.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the Bank NDP Administration Assistant are:
  • Scanning and uploading correspondence and data onto our electronic patient record and following processes accurately.
  • Entering information onto an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Answering telephone calls efficiently and professionally, taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed on and uploaded to the electronic patient record
  • Managing Outlook diaries
  • Make room bookings and ensure that electronic diaries are kept up to date.
  • Contacting families to chase information if required
  • Managing Outlook admin inbox
  • Joining regular team meetings
  • Covering reception - telephone and meet and greet as required
  • Assisting the clinical and admin team with any queries
  • Have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.
  • Any other administrative tasks requested by the Admin Lead.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity working in the field of Neurodevelopmental Conditions including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD?

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • NVQ2 or equivalent / good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above

Knowledge/Experience
Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative environment
  • Using using computerised data systems
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment

Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS issues
  • Lived experience of mental health issues

Skills - Communication/Relationship skills:

  • Clear communicator with good writing, data entry and telephone skills, ensuring accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
