Salary: NJC 6, SCP 11, FTE £22,627, pro-rata

Hours: 37 hours per week Term Time Only

Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) is searching for a science technician to support our excellent science team and help take our science faculty to outstanding.  We are seeking someone who either has experience of science teaching or working in a science laboratory and who is willing to learn to manage science resources for secondary school learning.

PACA is a successful, forward thinking Academy which has grown rapidly in recent years. Our recent Ofsted report signposts the many strengths of the school, noting in particular:  “pupils and staff agree that, despite the ongoing growth of the school, everyone at PACA is known. … Pupils recognise that staff want the very best for them… This is reflected in calm and purposeful lessons”.

We are an 11-16 state funded Academy and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

PACA is part of the Aldridge Education Multi-Academy Trust. The successful candidate will develop their work in collaboration with colleagues from across the family of schools.

Please complete the application form and submit, with a short covering letter for the attention of Libby Hurd l.hurd@paca.uk.com  The application form, can be downloaded via the "apply" link in this advert

Closing date: 15th September 2022

Interviews: Week commencing 19th September 2022
