Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a full time Domestic Assistant (cleaner) to join our team in St Leonards On Sea. This role is divided between two buildings on the site of the Conquest Hospital combining two mornings at Woodlands and one morning at St Anne's Centre.

The hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 07:00 and 14:30 , a total of 22.5 hours per week.

If you approachable, flexible and willing to work as part of a team and want to help us make a positive difference for the people in our care then we have the perfect role for you.

Applicants must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to undertake varied manual tasks, and have experience of working within the Cleaning Industry or the Catering Industry and with the public.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service.

We need people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety as well as the important of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to: - vacuum cleaning, damp mopping of floors, damp dusting of furniture/fittings, cleaning of mirrors and internal glass, sanitary ware, e.g. baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork, high dusting of walls and ceilings, floor maintenance etc.. In addition the role requires some food handling to support the provision of a meal service for patients in our care.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
