Volunteer Administrator – Horsham

Role Purpose

We are looking for volunteers to help provide our service in your local community. Do you have spare time to offer administrative help to our Business Support Administrator supporting our Learning & Development and Volunteer Recruitment departments? Please get in touch with us!

As a Volunteer Administrator, you will be asked to assist with:

  • The maintenance of different mailboxes, replying to volunteers, staff and prospective volunteer enquiries.
  • Creating, updating, inputting and extracting accurate data into Excel spreadsheets and other databases.
  • Requesting and logging reference requests for new volunteers.
  • Arranging telephone interviews for new volunteers and managing the Volunteer mailbox calendar.
  • Managing our in-house HR database and extracting reports.
  • Other ad hoc requests for letters, badges, photocopying etc.

As a Volunteer Administrator, you need to:

  • Have excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Have good communication skills written and verbal
  • Be able to exercise discretion where required
  • Be organised and systematic, with good attention to detail

Other Information

Working out of our Horsham office on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, supported by our Business Support Administrator.

On job training will be provided.

We ask our volunteer administrator to volunteer for 2 half days or 1 day per week with a minimum of 6 months commitment.
