About the role:

Working within the heart of the operations organisation you will be required to ensure the smooth running of multiple aircraft simulator projects. Starting at contract award you will follow the project path from development within hardware engineering, building it on the shopfloor, test and integration to shipping it to the customer. The Planning department works with all departments through the life cycle of the project to achieve internal and external milestones. This is achieved by tracking the loading of BoMs, reviewing the Purchase Order delivery dates, requesting parts out of stores to a build plan, following procedures to ship and ultimately closing the project on the MRP system.

Please note this role is based at our site in Crawley West Sussex with a minimum of 2 days per week required on site.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling MRP demands in line with the project milestones.
  • Managing and hosting the weekly projects reviews with multi-discipline attendees.
  • Requesting production orders to arrive on the shopfloor to the schedule
  • Supporting project meetings within the life cycle
  • Transferring stock between projects to ensure demands and priorities are met
  • Resolving non-conformance issues
  • Closing projects within SAP
  • Raising requisitions for ‘non MRP’ requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • The ability to work both on own initiative and able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external customers
  • Proficient with MS Office with excellent Excel skills
  • Must be focused and organised
  • A good understanding of MRP systems
  • The ability to quickly pick up using the company SAP System
  • Confidence to manage and host multilevel meetings
  • English & Maths GCSE grade C or equivalent

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience of working in either Simulation or an Engineering company preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of SAP MRP system, preferred but on the training can be given.
