Job overview

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust delivers the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hampshire. Hampshire CAMHS currently have a vacancy for a band 8a team manager overseeing the Early Help provision in the south of the county. The teams working within the area cover Basingstoke and Aldershot.

Hampshire CAMHS are looking for a leader that shares our enthusiasm, passion and commitment to work alongside colleagues to deliver a good quality timely service to young people and families in Hampshire, in collaboration with a strong supportive leadership team.

This has led Hampshire CAMHS to achieving various National Awards for our innovative and forward thinking approach. We welcome new colleagues with ideas and initiative to be part of this success.

Main duties of the job

The team manager will need to be a transformational leader with the ability to support staff to make decisions, analyse data, and oversee the performance of the team. There will be a strong focus within the role to build relationships with partner agencies and work collaboratively across community agencies to deliver an effective and efficient provision. An understanding of health, education and social care settings would therefore be advantageous.

Working for our organisation

Sussex Partnership Trust focuses on supporting staff through supervision and training opportunities and has a track record for creating strong cohesive teams where we balance the seriousness of our role with good humor and connection. The Hampshire CAMHS service, like many NHS services nationally, is busy and faces challenges, with high demands on our teams.

As a Trust, we recognize the impact of the nature of our work and prioritise staff wellbeing, providing activities that promote the positive health and wellbeing of our staff such as arts projects and staff development. There are a number of forums each month for team managers to both meet together and with the wider leadership team from across the county.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The position is a full time role that will be managing the well-established Primary Mental Health Teams as well as the development of the new Mental Health Support Teams that are based within schools in the North of the county. The position will also hold oversight for the Single Point of Access in the area which processes all referrals in to CAMHS within the region and will also be part of the roll out of intiatives that form part of our new investment.

Hampshire CAMHS are hugely proud of all their administrative, clinical and leadership staff that work so hard and have allowed us to achieve a CQC rating of Good with Outstanding for Care.
