Food and Beverage Concessions Manager

Are you an experienced Food and Beverage Concessions Manager, looking to Grow with Gatwick?

The Retail Department at Gatwick Airport is responsible for all the shops and restaurants that trade within the airport. This includes deciding which new brands come into the airport, planning their logistics and training, monitoring their financial performance and ensuring they are all offering a great passenger experience

What is the role?

Gatwick Airport is changing at an outstanding pace, and this is an exciting opportunity for a Food and Beverage Concessions Manager to be part of a high performing team delivering commercial revenue.

In this role, you will have full responsibility for every Food and Beverage outlet at Gatwick Airport. Building relationships with our Food and Beverage operators, you'll work with them to drive productivity and performance. Your focus will be on maximising spend per passenger and improving passenger experience. This is all underpinned with ensuring operational compliance within a high-risk environment.

What will you do?

• Drive and measure F&B customer service performance, influence stakeholders to make sure that Gatwick Airport's high standards are achieved.
• With a constant spotlight on Health and Safety targets, ensure operational and safety compliance of Food and Beverage operators. Work closely with operators to develop a consistent proactive approach.
• Oversee tactical activity across Retail involving initiatives to improve passenger experience, marketing and campaigns. Review ROI performance initiatives to identify how to increase spend per passenger.
• Responsible for the operation and optimisation of vending income using vending performance metrics.
• With an innovative approach, constantly look for potential opportunities and space in other areas of the airport.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Do you possess an extensive leadership background in a high-volume food and beverage arena?  We're looking for someone who has a combination of both commercial and operational F&B experience along with an innovative spirit and a passion for exploring new ideas.

You will also have:

• Strong relationship building / stakeholder management capabilities both internal and external at all levels.
• Hold a good understanding or technical and compliance requirements of a high-risk food and beverage operation.
• Commercial experience of analysing trading data and implementing initiatives that drive improved results.
• Highly motivated with a desire to deliver results at pace.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Awareness of compliance and Health & Safety regulations.
• Proven experience in retail or commercial management
• Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
