Job overview

The overarching focus of the Learning Disability & Autism Programme (previously referenced as the Transforming Care Programme) is to promote health and wellbeing, deliver high quality and sustainable services and improve outcomes and life experiences for autistic people, people with a learning disability or both , meeting the requirements set out in the NHS long Term Plan and other national strategy documents.

The CETR (Care Education Treatment Reviews) Project is a small integrated team between the CAMHS Provider Collaborative and the Integrated Care Board. The function is to ensure quality of care to children and young people on the Dynamic Support Registers due to high risk of admission into hospital because of complex behavioural and/or mental health needs.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:
  • Act as a role model and source of clinical knowledge providing advice, support and consultation to develop the knowledge and skill in the workforce (clinical and non-clinical staff).
  • Ensure Dynamic Support Registers are used effectively to prioritise allocation of resources, namely CETRs, Local Area Emergency Protocol meetings, professional consults and keyworker support.
  • Chair Community CETRs, Local Area Emergency Protocol meetings and co-facilitate the professional consult meetings with the Keyworking team.
  • Use the Dynamic Support Registers to report "common themes" to commissioners so as to inform how services are commissioned.
  • Deputise on occasion for Case Manager and/or Operational Lead in HIOW Care Rooms about the needs of our inpatient population and the supports and services required so as to achieve safe and timely discharges.
  • Assist the development and implementation of the keyworker function for children and young people who are autistic, have a learning disability or both and their families/carers across Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight in a complex and diverse multi-agency environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong working partnerships across the Integrated Care System (ICS), adding value to established statutory and MDT working.
  • With both the CAMHS Provider Collaborative and the keyworker team, ensure children, young people and family carers with lived experience have opportunity to be involved in co-production and co-design.
