An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the PPE team based at Haywards Heath - responsible for the day to day management of the team and delivering a high performing warehouse, storage & distribution service as part of a team brought together in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The post holder will work with Procurement, transport and service leads to ensure a continuous clinical supply of PPE to meet demand in service areas.

Part of a Trust wide PPE team to ensure effective co-ordination and planning of the future Trust arrangements for PPE.

Some lifting will be involved.

Main duties of the job
  • The post holder will manage & deliver a high performing warehouse, storage distribution service, the current high demand for PPE and need to ensure emergency preparedness for future demand.
  • The post holder is responsible for managing the analysis of Trust wide PPE / scrubs in addition to analysis of stock requirements and managing warehouse storage, supply and distribution within an agreed geographical location.
  • Work with Procurement, transport, emergency planning, local Trusts and service leads to ensure, continuous clinical supply of PPE / medical devices / scrubs / uniforms to meet demand in service areas.
  • Responsible for the day to day management and oversight of the team in addition to ensuring that the team are provided with regular supervision and an annual appraisal.

Sussex Partnership provides mental health and learning disability care for all age groups across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.

The roleholder will be working within a small team, leading the PPE Team based in Haywards Heath whilst being part of the wider Clinical Governance Team.

Knowledge / Experience
Essential criteria
  • Experience of providing support / supervision and motivation of staff.
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance.
  • Understanding of national PPE requirements and relevant Health & Safety legislation relating to the storage and management of PPE.

  • An open and facilitative style of leadership which can be adapted when necessary to ensure delivery of objectives.
