Asset Management Lead

Are you our next Asset Management Lead? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for our engineering department.

What is the role?

The Engineering team deliver what matters. They protect, maintain, and repair our infrastructure. From the electricity that powers this place. Giant plant rooms that heat and cool the airport. To the specialist equipment on the airfield too!

The Asset Management Lead will report to the Quality & Compliance Manager and work closely with members of the Asset Management team. As Asset Management Lead you will interact with the wider Engineering community as required in the day-to-day running of the CMMS and maintenance activities, reporting, providing assurance to the GAL asset management system and regulatory compliance of the asset base.

What will you do?
  • Assist in the delivery of optimized facility plans and maintenance regimes linked to resource availability, that are based on sound understanding of operational targets/requirements.
  • Deliver improvement in targets with regards to accuracy of legacy asset data, regularly reviewing this data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with Asset Stewardship requirements, compliance with planning processes, including quality, accuracy and timeliness of integrated plans, reductions in planning failures and completeness and quality of asset information.
  • Review asset availability, work efficiency and work closure reports and feed back to engineering managers.
  • Coordinate activities with others to ensure new assets are integrated in accordance with Asset Stewardship processes with complete maintenance plans and scrapped when taken out of use.
  • Assist in educating stakeholders in their responsibilities for the delivery of effective Asset Stewardship.

Do you have what we're looking for?
  • Experience working in an Engineering systems environment with strong understanding of various engineering functions and their interaction with the various engineering systems.
  • Strong experience in the use of a CMMS in planning maintenance activities and driving asset management strategies.
  • Strong ability in report writing and data analysis.
  • Good understanding of Asset Management processes and ISO 55001 requirements
  • Experience in internal auditing activities.
  • Educated to HND level or equivalent in a business or relevant technical discipline
