EVENING CLEANER
Permanent, Part time (2 evenings, Tuesday and Friday)
Required to start as soon as possible
We have a vacancy within the Evening Cleaner Team in our Estates’ Department. You will be required to work 2 days per week, on Tuesday and Friday from 4pm until 8pm. There will an opportunity to work additional hours on occasion to cover holiday or sickness.
The pro-rata salary will be £4,329 per annum. The hourly rate will be £10.41. This salary is based on spine point 3 within grade 1 of the support staff pay spine, for which the starting full-time salary is £20,025 per annum. This salary will rise to £20,430 per annum for a full-time post within 1 year of service, subject to satisfactory performance.
The annual holiday entitlement is 24 days per annum. This entitlement rises to 29 days after five years’ service. Please note that 2 days holiday will have to be taken at Christmas because the College closes during this period however you will receive a supplementary payment, equal to 2 days’ pay, in the December payroll each year.

We are a successful Sixth Form College, graded as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2012.
About 50% of our students come from Brighton and Hove, but many come from other state and independent schools throughout Sussex. The same variety of backgrounds, cultures and interests that make the Brighton area unique, also makes the College a lively, stimulating place to work.
There are approximately 2500 students on roll, of whom the vast majority (approximately 99%) follow Level 3 courses (mostly AS, A levels or BTECs) with the remainder following ESOL courses. The vast majority of our students are in the 16-19 age range, and following full-time courses. The College is within walking distance of Brighton town centre, Brighton train station and is on a main bus route. Please note that there is limited parking on the College campus and parking permits are allocated according to the distance you have to travel to work.
