An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the BI team as a developer on a FTC basis. You will enable People’s Partnership to get the most of it’s data by designing, implementing and maintaining accurate datasets..

This role will see the successful applicant contribute to the performance of an effective and efficient IT Business Intelligence (BI) Development function that supports the BI needs of People’s Partnership companies and linked 3rd party organisations. Provide a customer focused “second line” service that delivers BI solutions to the business and end users. Operate within the function’s processes and standard operating procedures and actively contribute to the achievement of the IT department’s overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the team’s performance against agreed objectives and performance indicators
Provide second line guidance, instruction and support service in IT BI software products and bespoke BI business software for end users
Assess opportunities for improvement to existing BI systems
Horizon-scan for opportunities to enhance/replace existing BI systems with new tools
As appropriate act as BI Solution Lead on non-BI projects
Manage the accuracy, integrity and security of data ensuring compliance with GDPR and B&CE policy
Design and develop BI software for in-house systems to meet the needs of the business
Ensure all changes are appropriately documented per IT department procedures
Pro-actively manage own workload, take ownership of tasks and manage business expectations
Adhere to Company Risk Management policy, including reporting of incidents or breaches
Apply and promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) culture and principles, together with the organisation’s behaviours and values

Skills and Experience required

Microsoft SSIS for ETL
Microsoft SSRS
Microsoft Power BI
Delivering complex BI Datasets
Microsoft SQL Scripting including Stored Procedures
Understanding of BI, Data Warehousing, and Database principles
Confident in dealing directly with business users; working alongside development, test and architecture teams to ensure that People’s Partnership standards are met
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

This is a maternity cover FTC for 6 months. You will be required to work in the office on a Tuesday each week to enable you to be part of team meetings and collaboration sessions.
