Job summary

Imagine if you could study a health-related degree, with all tuition fees covered, while earning a salary at the same time, and a guaranteed job upon completion with a minimum starting salary of £27,000 (full time).

You can, with Sussex Community NHS Learning Academy.

We are looking for applicants who are:
  • Looking for a career change
  • Wanting to take their next steps in their clinical career
  • Committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Sussex

If that is you, you could become a clinical apprentice with us.

A clinical apprenticeship is a patient facing clinical job that offers hands on work experience alongside off the job training for a health related qualification. You will study for your qualification through a mixture of workplace learning, attendance at university, practice placements, and self-directed learning. Clinical apprenticeships take time and are hard work, but they are rewarding, and we will support you on your journey.

We will get back to you about your application by the end of February, and if shortlisted we will support you in your application to university and joint interviews will take place in March.

Main duties of the job

Occupational Therapists help people to rebuild or maintain their lives physically and psychologically and to use activity to retain their independence. Our Occupational Therapy pathway will equip you with the knowledge and skills to support people to live independent lives. Upon completion you will be eligible to apply for registration as a Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
