Job summary An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join the Adur, Arun and Worthing (AAW) Group Treatment Programme service.

We are a multi-disciplinary team within the Assessment and Treatment Service providing specialist assessment and psychologically-informed group interventions, delivering part of the care pathway for clients with complex emotional difficulties. We run generic psychoeducational groups using evidence-base approaches as well as specialist interventions such as the STEPPS Programme.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID Main duties of the job As lead practitioners holding a caseload, we promote a trauma informed approach to client care, focused on building therapeutic relationships to support people to develop safe, effective mood and emotion management coping skills.

We are involved in contributing to introduction of additional therapy modalities (Structured Clinical Management (SCM); DBT) as part of the current development of the personality disorder / complex emotional difficulties pathway implementation, and community transformation.

We are keen to support staff wellbeing and clinical effectiveness, and can offer you a comprehensive induction package in a supportive working environment, with excellent post basic educational opportunities and preceptorship system if you are more recently qualified. You will be offered relevant training to support your professional development and provision of interventions for working in this clinical area. We have a robust supervision (individual and group) and appraisal system, including access to complex case formulation.

The AAW Group Treatment Programme service is based over three sites: Littlehampton, Shoreham and Worthing. The post holder will be required to travel across sites
