Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Administrator to join our busy Administration Team at Drayton House in Chichester assisting in providing a range of administration support to Community Dementia Services. The team comprises the Dementia Assessment Service and Dementia and Older Peoples Mental Health Service covering the Chichester, Bognor and Midhurst areas operating between the hours of 0900 x 1700hrs Monday to Friday. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, positive, organised and enjoys working as part of a team. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will act as first point of contact for the team during office hours. You will respond appropriately in all situations by obtaining all relevant information and liaising with colleagues and other persons involved. This role would provide the opportunity to build on new and existing skills. There is also an opportunity for professional development. You would benefit from previous experience in an NHS setting; however, training can be provided to assist with knowledge and competencies. You would be supported with a tailored development plan, and regular management supervision and support from senior colleagues.   • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work, within defined policies and procedures and to set timescales.
  • Have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.
  • Produce documents to a good standard, using Trust templates, in line with Trust guidelines.
  • Type documents, letters, emails and reports when required.
  • Photocopy, scan and upload documents when required.
  • Input data into Carenotes and Excel databases.
  • Deal with routine enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicate relevant information and refer to others as appropriate.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages and pass on accurately in a timely manner to the relevant departments/person and record them in Carenotes.
  • Make room bookings.
