DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Gatwick Airport is changing at pace, and we're on an exciting journey of growth.

We're looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join our fabulous Communications team and Grow with Gatwick.

What is the role?

We're after a Digital Communications Manager looking to take their next step and join Gatwick's Corporate Affairs team. With hands on experience in either digital communications or media in a corporate environment, you'll have a real passion for digital and the trends in this space, as well as being able to deal with issues and crisis management.

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager you'll have the opportunity to lead Gatwick's corporate social and website strategy. You'll also play a key role in corporate campaigns and support on our financial calendar and sustainability communications.

You'll also be a trusted advisor across the business on social media advocacy.

We're looking for someone who is a team player and has the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. You'll be a creative thinker and have first class writing skills to help bring Gatwick's story to life and at the same time use data and insight to ensure that our messages land with our key stakeholders.

As Digital Communications Manager you'll have direct line management responsibility for a digital communications executive, and you'll also be part of our on-call press office team.

What will you do?
  • Day-to-day you'll be managing our social channels, working closely with our marketing team to ensure our corporate and consumer strategies align.
  • You'll play an integral role in ensuring our corporate story is told across our digital channels.
  • Manage our corporate website, ensuring continuous improvement and user experience, through developing content, improving SEO and using our social channels to drive traffic.
  • Work with our agencies to deliver key campaigns around sustainability, growth and employer brand.
  • Build and maintain relationships with airport stakeholders to ensure consistent, timely and joined up activity.
  • Work closely across our communications team, to ensure that we have a consistent message across our channels.

  • Do you have what we're looking for?
    • Experience in digital channel communications, specifically corporate messaging.
    • Digitally savvy with a data and insights approach.
    • CMS, photo and video editing experience.
    • First class communications skills, with ability to handle and translate complex and technical information and issues.
    • Experience of communications in a fast-paced and challenging regulatory or politically sensitive environment.
    • Crisis media handling - ability to think on your feet and act under pressure.
    • Strong stakeholder management experience and be adept at advising senior leadership.
    • Strong project management and organisational skills.
    • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
    • Proven experience of leading and influencing team members.
