IT Change Manager

Are you our next IT Change Manager? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for IT Services and enable beneficial changes with minimal disruption to our business operations.

What is the role?

Managing the lifecycle of all Gatwick Airport Limited IT changes and ensuring they are completed in line with the management policy. This role will suit someone who strives for delivering operational excellence, can work in a fast-paced environment and can drive processes forward.

What will you do? (Accountabilities)
  • Ensure all Changes are managed according to the IT Change Management policy
  • Ensure that Changes to services and their components are controlled and meet the GAL IT change related needs.
  • Chair Change Advisory Board Meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed and can make decisions on approval / rejections.
  • Design the strategic approach to managing change to support operations and projects that fall within the domain of Change Management.
  • Conduct and verify post-implementation reviews. Ensure lessons learned from the changes are implemented as required.
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate templates and processes documentation.
  • Ensure continuous optimisation and improvement of Change Management and other related Service Management processes interfacing with Change Management.


Do you have what we're looking for? (Skills & experience)
  • Extensive experience of working in an ITIL aligned IT operational environment.
  • Experience of operating an IT Change Management function in order to minimize the number and impact of any related incidents upon service.
  • Experience of using ServiceNow / similar Service Management tool Change module
  • Experience in the standardisation of methods and procedures which are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to control IT Infrastructure.
  • Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress.
  • Identify improvement to organisational procedures, governing change management.
  • Understand and resolving conflicts identified within Change requests.
  • Understanding and supporting Asset and Configuration management process
